VCE Subject
Selection
The Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) is a two-year senior secondary qualification typically completed across Year 11 (Units 1 and 2) and Year 12 (Units 3 and 4).
Most students undertake 22 units over the two years, generally consisting of:
• Year 11: Six subjects (12 units)
• Year 12: Five subjects (10 units)
Our College offers a broad range of VCE subjects across a variety of learning areas, providing
students with opportunities to pursue their interests, strengths and future pathways.
To be awarded the VCE, students must successfully complete at least 16 units, including:
• A minimum of three units from an English study, including a Unit 3–4 sequence; and
• At least three additional Unit 3–4 sequences (six units) from studies other than English.
