Years 10 - 12

At Apollo Bay P-12 College we endeavor to provide a broad range of range of options to cater for the needs of all of our students. The College offers a large number of VCE and VET subjects, the number and type is determined by student need. Students may opt to do a VCE course or a VCAL course. Due to our relatively small school population, class sizes are generally small and students have plentiful access to teachers and school resources. In some cases a number of subjects run in the one class. Students at Apollo Bay P-12 College may choose a course comprised of VCE subjects, a VCE course with one or more VET subjects or a VCAL course. In some cases students may opt to continue their studies via Distance Education. Students in Years 10-12 are supported by a team of teachers, including the 10-12 Coordinator, MIPS - Careers Advisor, Homegroup teachers and VASS operator.

In semester 1 students in Years 11-12 start the year with a two day study camp. Students in Year 11 participate in a week long work experience camp in Melbourne. During the day students are involved in full time work placements and at night they may eat out and visit some of Melbourne's entertainment venues.

Local businesses are always keen to have work experience students and a number of businesses have VCAL students completing work placements in an ongoing capacity.

Year 12 students have a large common room and study area which is well equipped with computers and food preparation facilities. The College has a well equipped careers room and all year 11 and 12 students have access to computers during their private study periods.
